For the Beauty of the Earth
A creative quiet day
Saturday 9th November, 10am-3pm on Zoom
This is an invitation to consider the glorious gift of creation through music, images, poetry and creative responses facilitated by artist and teacher Carol Marples.
This day of reflection offers a space to respond to the creativity of God, reflect on the creative work of others, and perhaps even express some of creativity our own! A space to be quiet, enjoy, and to enrich our prayer practice.
This day is open to everyone, both members and non-members.
Carol Marples is the artist, teacher, creative liturgist and development worker for the Soul Marks trust. Since Soul Marks was established in 2003 Carol’s ministry has taken her to many places. The work has included creating large-scale artworks with local and international communities, and leading a variety of workshops, projects and worship.
Carol graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1988 with a BA (Hons.) in Tapestry. Since then she has regularly exhibited, created installations, taught courses and led workshops for all ages and abilities in Scotland, Europe and North America in a variety of contexts. She has an MLitt and a PhD in 2019 from the Institute of Theology, Imagination and the Arts, St. Mary’s College, University of St. Andrews.
